Stannah – going above and beyond to ensure safe dialysis equipment delivery
The Midlands East Service branch, which looks after thousands of lifts and stairlifts across the area, took a call from a concerned stairlift owner in Mansfield regarding the installation of a kidney dialysis machine.
The challenge was that the dialysis machine needed to be installed upstairs in the customer’s home; however, their stairlift prevented the move. The Mansfield branch liaised with the Nottingham Queens Medical Centre Dialysis department to arrange the installation of the equipment and temporary removal and reinstall of the stairlift for the same day – ensuring the customer continued to have the much-needed ability to move around their home freely.
Between the removal and reinstallation, the engineers remained on-site to assist in carrying and helping the dialysis engineer in installing the delicate equipment in the bedroom.
A curved stairlift is slightly more complex to remove and refit, so to ensure a worry-free day for the customer, we sent Chris Parkin and Paul Wilshire. Chris and Paul are highly trained engineers who work across both stairlifts and commercial lifts and are well-versed in covering some of the more unusual lift requests.
Once again, with the dialysis machine safely installed upstairs and the stairlift left in full working order, Chris and Paul left fully satisfied that it was a job well done with both the Queens Medical Centre Kidney Dialysis team and the customer thanking Stannah. But even more importantly, both the dialysis and the stairlift are a continued lifeblood for the customer.
With expert local lift engineers available 24/7 and the ability to repair and service all makes and models of lifts and stairlifts, the Stannah Mansfield branch can help wherever and whenever needed.
