Delivering some Christmas magic in North Ayrshire
The Stannah Scotland service branch provides lift and stairlift services throughout Dumfries, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Orkney, Shetland Islands - and everywhere in between. However, each branch is dedicated to giving back to its local community and lending a helping hand whenever needed.
So when David Ferguson, the Branch Manager, picked up the phone to the North Ayrshire community benefits team, asking if Stannah Scotland could help with upcoming Christmas parties, it was no surprise that the branch team quickly kick-started a collection.
The Christmas parties are being held at Redburn Community Centre in Irvine in the run-up to the holiday season. The centre is also a food bank which provides low-cost daily meals for members of the community in crisis.
Stannah Scotland’s generous donation of 300 Cadbury selection boxes will mean every child will leave with a sweet treat from Santa this Christmas.
Our gift was gratefully received at Redburn Foodbank when David and the Branch’s Office Manager, Susan Montgomery, dropped them off. Janice from Friends of Redburn (pictured right in the photograph) said, “These boxes will make a real difference to local children this Christmas, putting a smile on their faces”.
Thank you to everyone at Stannah Scotland who supported the appeal.
