Colleagues to take on charity abseil at Northampton Lift Tower

Stannah, a leading lift specialist established in 1867, is proud to announce that 50 of its colleagues will participate in a thrilling charity abseil at the iconic Northampton Lift Tower on Saturday 26th October 2024.

This exciting event will raise funds for the UK Lift Industry Charity, which provides financial aid to the families of lift industry workers who have been injured or lost their lives at work.

Originally designed as a lift testing facility and now a centre for research and development, the 418-foot Northampton Lift Tower is the UK’s tallest permanent abseil tower.

It offers a unique personal challenge for Stannah’s colleagues as they prepare to descend this iconic structure.

The Stannah Group has generously covered the costs of the abseil, ensuring that all donations raised go directly to supporting the UK Lift Industry Charity’s efforts. The 50 participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of £100 each, with the Stannah Group match-funding the donations.

Donations to support the Stannah team’s fundraising efforts can be made through their fundraising page at Just Giving.

Dan White, Service Director from Stannah Lift Services said “We're incredibly excited to have so many of our colleagues participating in this charity abseil. Not only is this a fantastic opportunity for team bonding and personal achievement, but it’s also a meaningful way for us to give back to communities and charities close to our hearts."
