A platform stairlift perfectly designed for use over stairs
Our Stairiser inclined lifts provide the ideal access solution for commercial buildings that can't accommodate a ramp as an alternative to a set of stairs, or have space for a vertical lift. Working like stair lifts for wheelchair, they enable one seated person to travel along the staircase.
The Stairiser is one of the most versatile folding wheelchair lifts on the market. With easy-to-use controls, it provides safe and convenient wheelchair access for buildings with straight or curved staircases. The unobstructed design allows the compact wheelchair lift to fold neatly out of the way when not in use, freeing up the stairway for others.
These wheelchair platform lifts for stairs can be used in commercial and public buildings. Outdoors, the external option is fully weatherproof to ensure a robust and reliable product. Both models offer a choice of additional features, including remote controls and fold-down seats, and the added reassurance of a 1-year warranty.
A choice of fixing methods ensures flexible installation even in buildings with structural restrictions, and quick installation means you can quickly improve access and independence for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues throughout your building.

What is an inclined stairlift?
An inclined stair lift, also known as an inclined platform lift or wheelchair stair lift, is a device that allows people with disabilities to access a stairway. Inclined stair lifts are suitable for most types of staircases, both indoors and outdoors. They can be used in small offices, public buildings, and commercial buildings, provided the staircase is wide enough.
Are these products suitable as a DDA access lift?
Yes. A DDA stairlift is a wheelchair lift that helps meet the requirements of the Equality Act 2010. It is designed to ensure that people with limited mobility can access public buildings and other spaces without difficulty.
Are wheelchair stair lifts suitable for domestic properties?
Although there is no minimum width for staircases in the home, most domestic staircases are too narrow to accommodate a Stairiser. The minimum stair width for our wall-mounted Stairiser on a straight run of stairs is 895mm and 979mm for a curved run of stairs.
What speed is a wheelchair stairlift?
Under Machinery Directive regulations, platform lifts are limited to a maximum speed of 0.15 m/s. The speed of the Stairiser SR over a straight rail is 0.1 m/s. The Stairiser CR2 curved inclined platform lift travels slower, at 0.06 - 0.1m/s.
What is the cost of a wheelchair stairlift?
As each staircase is different, the cost of a platform stairlift can only be defined once the final specification is agreed upon. Factors that affect cost are the number of curves, staircase length, and fixing requirements. We provide free, no-obligation quotations that include installation. To help us provide you with an accurate quotation, please include information about your staircase, with photos and dimensions, wherever possible.
What are the recommended wheelchair stair lift dimensions?
To meet Part M of the building regulations an 800mm x 1250mm platform size is required. However, there are alternative options depending on the building and usage.
Can people without a wheelchair also use the lift?
Although our stairlifts can transport everyone, standing on an inclined platform lift is a safety concern. Instead an optional fold down chair can be provided to allow non-wheelchair users to remain seated during travel.
How does a platform stairlift work?
Stairlifts are usually operated via onboard batteries that power a 24V DC motor. Batteries are charged in each landing station automatically. Thanks to the integrated batteries, the lift can do multiple runs in the event of a power failure.
Are your platform stairlifts suitable for outdoor installation?
These lifts can be installed outdoors without any trouble. The parts are zinc-coated, stainless steel, or aluminium for outdoor use and can include a cover to protect the platform when not in use.
